Self-Taught Guitarists

Me and a few of my friends from high school have been messing around teaching ourselves guitar on our own. Reading and watching things from the net, youtube, guitarists blogs, and so on and so forth. I have been subscribed to this guy on youtube and he has recently started a blog to help those people just like me, to learn guitar from their own comfortable home. Check it out if any one is teaching themselves. guitarforeveryone.com

Optimus Prime

I've seen a lot of these stop-motion Transformers videos on youtube, and for one I think there pretty cool, and this one is kinda humorous. Just more time I have taken being bored and browsing youtube.

Film Studies

For all those who are interested, I think that Film Studies might just be the major for me, To help me with my interest in movie production and directing. I am pretty excited about this so hopefully once I get into it I will like it. If not I don't know what my major will be.

Gotta love Ebay

So I was bored and found this

To racy for tv

All I got to say is WOW

I almost forgot

I got my newly repaired/replaced PS3 this weekend. This has been a good month. So far so good, so I hope that Sony fixed their hardware problems. Later.

Linkin Park #2

Well as I previously stated for the 15th I was going to be going to see Linkin Park at Nationwide. Well all I have to say is...."amazing". I am a big time LP fan and to see them in concert just tops everything. I have been waiting for this ever since Hybrid Theory came out. So if you know any thing about LP, thats a good while. I was never really able to go to concerts when I was younger, but now that I am in Columbus I finally am close enough, and have the money to go to these events. But back to LP, they put on an awesome show, and they know how to get the crowd going. I don't even care about Chiodos and Coheed and Cambria, who opened for them, you couldn't hear the vocals any way. (sound sucked for them) But when LP came on you cold hear Chester and Mike with no problem. And isn't it amazing how Chester can Scream like he does, but still carry the i'll call it softer vocals, he has a great voice and I hope they stick around to put out a couple more albums. I think the the LP fan base is growing, I know i'll contribute, their cd's are the only ones that I purchase, I just don't buy cd's but when Minutes to Midnight came out, I was there the Next day. But I just love their mix of rock, Mikes hip-hop flare (and I have Fort Minor too, great stuff), and their mix of Piano and DJ and electronic flare. Well thats all for now, later.

Emerson Drive

Following the Will Ferrell comedy tour, the next day I went to see Emerson Drive at the New Port. I only knew of one of their songs, but after listening to them, and watching them perform, they are pretty good. They said they lost their first record deal, but now are coming back strong with a second deal, and I am glad because they are a country good group.

Funny or Die comedy tour

This comedy tour was pretty amazing. Will Ferrell is a funny man, and the three comedians that were with him were awesome too. My favorite was the guy from grandma's boy, "shits weak". And also when Ron Burgundy interviewed his long time friend, Prez. Gee. All in all it was a great event, and it also helped to be sitting seventh row.

Some intersting videos

I am posting these videos to tell you a little about me, first I have watched the Simpsons since I was like 6 years old, so I am a big fan, next I love fast cars, old school muscle, new school, exotics, and crotch rockets, and finally I love video games.......yes I will admit it, and Metal Gear Solid as a series thats been around since like the mid 90's and the newest installment for PS3 comes out in June, which I have pre-ordered. I have never pre-ordered a video game before...everrrrrrr. I also love music, and I have some concerts lined up for this month and will tell you all about them after I go. And I'm working on posting some of me playing guitar, but I need to get a knew one because my acoustic is more of a smaller beginner guitar and I need to go buy a full size one. Mine is a 3/4 not a 4/4, if you play you should know what I mean, or i'm just crazy. Until next time, Lata.

Super Sunday

Wow.....that's all I have to say about yesterdays super bowl. If you missed it I feel sorry for you. If you are even remotely into football, yesterday was all you could have wished for in a super bowl. Great competition, good commercials, and an exciting end. Go G-Men, I was beyond impressed with Eli, and how about brothers winning the super bowl back2back, has that ever happened in history? What an impressive family the Mannings are.

Some intersting CD covers of bands I like

Those are just a few I saw when looking through my Ipod, they always caught my eye. If no one has listened to Sixx a.m., the band with Motley Crew bassist Nikki Sixx, they should at least take a listen, very interesting.

Linkin Park

Linkin Park tour comes to Columbus Feb. 15th, and this young man has tickets. This is my second big concert I have ever went to. They are my favorite band and I can't wait, should be the highlight of my year.

Global warming

I was watching the discovery channel this weekend, i think, or the history channel, but any way they listed the 10 ways the world could end, they titled it differently, like 10 threats to mankind or something. But the number one threat to our extinction is not a meteor, Black holes (yes they exsist), nuclear bombs, bio-warfare, super volcanoes, or any of that. The number one threat to our demise is.............Global Warming.....weird huh. that show must be directed by Al Gore. But I do beleive in global warming, but it's number one just because all the others problem won't happen. But global warming is all on us.

Interesting fact

I don't know how realistic this is, but I read an article that told me how the world was going to end in the year 2012, which is pretty darn soon. Now this is just what I read, and it was very very interesting. Well you know how they said their was a planet X and they wanted to make it a planet? Well they say that mysterious planet will be the end of the earth. Due to the fact that it has and irregular orbit. It will go way out past the planet Pluto, and come as close as like Jupiter I do believe, and this planet is bigger than Jupiter. So this means it has some big time gravity that comes with it. They say it will throw off the orbit of all the planets and including the earth. Now i don't know how true this is, could just be a myth. But it sure is scary to think about, because there is no way to stop it. Weird fact for all you readers out there.

Arnold Classic

For any one interested in weight lifting and body building, the annual Arnold Classic is coming up in February, the 29th-Mar. 2nd. I'm going for the first time, so I hope its worth the ten bucks.

PS3 Sending it back

Yea u read right, I now have to send my PS3 back to Sony because the 40gig's have a hardware problem and they crash after about 3 to 4 weeks of use. Atleast that's been the case that most people have had on the forums I have read. But at least under the one year warenty it is free. O well what are you gonna do right?

So I just tried to upload pictures and there was an error in blogger, which has been apparently been showing up for every body. Well that just really upset me, and frustrated me.

Saying Hello, From Senior year in high school to sophmore year in college

Free Stuff

You know what I like, I like free stuff. I love that Osu and OUAB gives out free tickets to some concerts and events. I already have a ticket to Will Ferrell's comedy tour, and Emerson drive. No today i'm gonna go get Thrice. OSU knows how to take care of their paying students.

Long boring weekend

Do you every look at yourself and hate how you have a three day weekend and do practically nothing. Other than going to a bar on Thursday (before the weekend) I never left my house. Played ps3 and hung out with my roommates pretty much. It felt to cold to go out. Every time I opened the door and felt the chill, I came back inside. Well thats all, later.

Resistance:Fall of Man PS3

I just beat the PS3's version of Halo today, Resistance fall of man. I say that because it is sony computer entertainments first real stretch at online play resembling 360. I played online and there is surprisingly plenty of players to compete with. I didn't think that their would be that many people still into the game, since it was one of the first games for the PS3. Besides that the campaign mode is a lot of fun. The game is quite long with more that 12 hours I would guess of game play. The creatures are also pretty hard to beat, it takes a lot of shots to take one down. They are also quite accurate so that doesn't help your cause. The graphics, story and controls are easy to manage and follow. I would rate this game with a 8.5, with its frustrating times to its successes.

Assassin's Creed

Just the other day I beat the latest installment from Ubisoft, Assassins Creed for PS3. All in all i liked the game, it is quite repetitive in its story line. You do the same thing in each city over and over, but the story it self is not to bad. The real people used in the game is a cool add on too, killing people that really did exist. But jumping around on every building and and assassinating and beating up people never gets old. There is a second subplot that leads to a disappointing ending, but I don't want to ruin the game for any one. But once you realize what that means for future assassin creeds, you aren't as mad. But in the end I would give the game a 8 out 0f 10.

THe PS3

I recently bought a PS3 this holiday season, and here is what i think about it. The PS3 is the latest in video game technology, and if you are remotely into games and play them on your spare time, the 400 bucks is well worth the price. First off the games look incredible! So real, its so life like that you feel like its really you in the game, or that it could really be out there some were. Second the cell processor that is in the system, is fast and powerful. Which allows game developers to create even better looking games. Depending on the game, game play itself is boosted with the amount of power the processor allows developers to have. Completely interactive worlds, life like stadiums, fields and courts, and much more.
So in the future as game developers continue to realize what they can do with the cell processor, they can further create better features for games. They don't even know what all they can achieve with the PS3 platform. Its also much like the 360 in its common features and operations. Such as the internet and online capability, which for the PS3 is free and like 50 bucks for the 360. You can turn the system on and off with the controller, and the home screen is also similar. Well that is my rant for my new PS3, for all you reading out their, this a common gamers short review, Later.

The coolest acoustic guitar I have ever Seen

I saw this guitar on the Dean website and fell in love with it. I am planning on purchasing it some time within the next few months. Then I found this video testing out the guitar. The video is to the right in the video bar. I know there are better guitars out there, but I liked how this one looks, and its only 250 bucks. A modest price for a self taught guitarist. I just like messing around, not to serious about "making it big", playing for me is just a fun hobby. Thats all for this time, Later.
